The President of Turkey Recep Tayyip Erdogan, signed the protocol of Sweden's accession to NATOafter the ratification of the relevant bill by the National Assembly, last Tuesday night.
The law approving the ratification of Sweden's accession protocol to NATO was published in the Turkish Government Gazette and entered into force, the Turkish Anadolu news agency reported.
Sweden now it only needs the “green light” of Hungary to complete its joining process.
Swedish Prime Minister: Important milestone
THE Swedish Prime Minister Ulf Christerson said hello tonight her signature by the president of Turkey, Recep Tayyip Erdogan, of Sweden's accession protocol to NATO.
“We welcome Turkey's approval of the ratification (of the protocol) for Sweden's accession to NATO. With it one is achieved important milestone on Sweden's NATO accession path,” Christerson wrote in a post on X.
