Erdogan has sent Turkish drones to occupied Cyprus “to protect it”

Turkish unmanned aerial vehicles which are not armed, as well combat drones are located in occupied north Cyprus to protect her from all sides, the Turkish president said yesterday, Thursday Recep Tayyip Erdogan speaking to reporters on his return from the European Political Community summit in Prague.

As reported by the state-run Turkish news agency Anadolu, asked if there is plan to create a Turkish military base in occupied KarpasiaErdogan said Turkish drones may also be sent to the region.

“Because it is necessary to secure Northern Cyprus from all sides, from all points of view. Whether or not a base is created, our jets will be in North Cyprus as soon as they take off from our mainland” he added, according to Anadolu, as reported by APE-MPE.
