Studio Epic Games, known for such games as Gears of War and Fortnite, has announced its new development. This is a RealityScan application that allows you to create realistic, highly detailed three-dimensional models of various objects using only a smartphone for this.
To make a 3D model of any object in the real world, you only need RealityScan and a smartphone with a camera. The finished 3D copy can then be transferred to any virtual project, be it a game or some other application.
To create a 3D model, you will need to take at least 20 shots of the object in good lighting and without foreign objects in the frame. To take a series of photos, you can hold down the shutter button or take individual shots, the main thing is to slowly move around the subject. After scanning is complete, you can upload the model to the Sketchfab platform for further work with it.

While RealityScan is in beta testing. Test access to the program will be open to 10,000 users on the Apple TestFlight platform. The release of the test version of the application for iOS is scheduled for the spring, and the Android client will be released by the end of the year.
