Endless nightmare in Brazil: 1,556 deaths and 57,736 cases in 24 hours

The Brazilian Ministry of Health informed yesterday Wednesday that 1,556 patients with COVID-19 died in the previous 24 hours and 57,736 cases of SARS-CoV-2 were confirmed.

The official death toll from the new coronavirus pandemic in Latin America has reached 537,394 deaths out of a total of 19,209,729 infections.

Brazil, with a population of 212 million, has the second heaviest population in the world, behind only the United States.

Thailand: New negative death record in the past 24 hours

Thai health authorities announced on Thursday a tragic record of 98 deaths of patients with Covid-19 in the past 24 hours, as they find it increasingly difficult to control the new wave of the new coronavirus pandemic.

Since the beginning of the pandemic, the death toll in the country has reached 3,032 dead so far.

During the same period, 9,186 cases of SARS-CoV-2 were confirmed in the kingdom, with the total number of people recorded being infected reaching 372,215.

Mexico: 230 deaths and over 12,000 cases in 24 hours

The Mexican Ministry of Health announced on Wednesday that another 230 COVID-19 patients had died in the past 24 hours and another 12,116 cases of SARS-CoV-2 had been confirmed as the country faced a third wave.

According to the ministry, the death toll from the new coronavirus pandemic has reached 235,507 deaths out of a total of 2,616,827 infections.

The Mexican government acknowledges, however, that the official report, the 4th heaviest in the world, is highly undervalued. Excessive mortality figures released by the Ministry of Health recently showed, for the second time this year, that deaths due to COVID-19 are in fact almost 60% more than confirmed.

Germany: 32 deaths and 1,642 cases in the past 24 hours

The confirmed cases of SARS-CoV-2 in Germany increased by 1,642 in the previous 24 hours, reaching 3,740,325, according to data released today, Thursday by the Robert Koch Institute, the country’s epidemiological surveillance body.

The deaths of 32 patients with Covid-19 during the same period increased the death toll from the new coronavirus pandemic to 91,319 deaths so far, according to the same source.
