There has been an uproar in France in recent hours, after the vulgar attack launched by the French-American singer, Marc Rebillet, known for his eccentric performances, from the stage of the Music Festival in France, against the French president, Emmanuel Macron.
Using expressions like “Macron are you m*» and “Macron c*” caused a wave of reactions during his appearance in Touket.
Remarkably, a few minutes after the booing on stage, the French president arrived at the concert accompanied by his wife, Brigitte.
On Instagram, Marc Rebillet admitted his actions – but without a trace of remorse -, even saying that “some things have to fall into place”.
He further accused the organizers of trying to “shut down” his microphone.
According to French media reports, the director of the Festival actually tried to stop the concert when the vulgar expressions were heard.
People from the audience had similar reactions, who were deeply disturbed by the comments. Notably, a female audience member threw the contents of her drink in the face of a member of the musician’s band.
In 2018, the same artist had launched a similar attack on the -then- American president, Donald Trump.
