A SpaceX published a talk given by Elon Musk on April 4th where he says he will prioritize his plans for colonize Mars . The businessman commented that he intends to send millions of people to “start a multi planetary life “.
According to the publication on X, formerly Twitter, all of the company's projects — Falcon, Dragon, Starlink, and Starship — will develop technologies to enable humanity to be sent to the red planet. For this to happen, SpaceX ships must be reusable, being able to return to Earth after carrying people and supplies.
In the speech, Musk explained why he considers Mars the best place to be colonized: because it offers resources that would reduce the need to frequently send supplies from Earth. The location is still considered the most suitable even though it requires a longer trip than to the Moon, for example.
The owner of Tesla commented that the advances made to produce the vehicles for the Artemis mission — a NASA project that plans to send astronauts to the Moon in September 2025 — will help in this endeavor and guarantee “excitement” with the effects on the development of the Sharship program.
“SpaceX’s goal is to develop the technologies necessary to make life multiplanetary. This is the first time in Earth's 4 billion-year history that it has been possible to achieve this goal,” the company said in a statement.

“If you can just imagine all these spaceships waiting in orbit for the planets to line up and then this gigantic Starfleet heading off to Mars.” And he added: “this [Base Estelar] it was literally just like a sandbar where we are now. And now look what we've done here. And we got three flights with Starship and we have a fourth coming up. And we are building a gigantic factory that will be capable of producing a huge number of ships. So it's real. We're really going to do this. We are going to take humanity to Mars. And I’m confident you can do it.”
