The Secretariat of the Penitentiary Administration of São Paulo informed that Elize Matsunaga left the Women’s Penitentiary “Santa Maria Eufrásia Pelletier” in Tremembé this Monday (30th). The release order comes by virtue of parole in favor of Matsunaga.
Still according to the secretary, she left the prison at 17:35.
On December 5, 2016, Elize Matsunaga was sentenced to 19 years, 11 months and one day in prison for murdering her husband, Marcos Kitano Matsunaga, executive director of the Yoki food industry.
The case took place in 2012, and days later, she confessed to the crime. According to her, Matsunaga would have discovered that her husband had a mistress and, after an argument, she ended up shooting him. Then she quartered the body and left it in various points of São Paulo.
She was sentenced to 18 years and 9 months in prison for murder without a chance of defence, and one year, two months and one day for concealing a corpse.
