“I was driving and suddenly there were no traffic lights … it was a kind of jungle,” Luis Ibáñez Jiménez told CNN . “I saw a huge bus approaching and had to accelerate a lot to surpass it.”
In the subway, people were hurriedly removed after falling energy.
And a tourist at Humberto Delgado airport in Lisbon reported that hundreds of people were in lines in the dark, without air conditioning or running water.
Stores only accepted money, she told CNN .
