Eight suspects arrested in car shop robbery in Fortaleza

Eight men were arrested in Fortaleza, Ceará, after stealing cars from a store on Monday night (13).

The joint action of the Civil Police and the State Military Police located and recovered a total of seven vehicles, of the 13 that were stolen. The car dealership victimized by the robbers is located in the Guararapes neighborhood.

Police were called around 6:45 pm on Monday and were informed of the store break-in. According to the first surveys of the investigation, the leader of the group that invaded the store would be an acquaintance of the owner of the establishment, with whom he would have had commercial relations.

The investigation is in charge of the Vehicle and Cargo Robbery and Theft Police Station (DRFVC), which continues to work to identify the others involved.

The suspects arrested so far are: José Nilton de Freitas Filho, 28 years old (with passages for drug trafficking); Rafael Ferreira de Sousa, 32 years old; Antônio Clauderson Lopes dos Santos, 33 years old; Washington Alves de Albuquerque, 29 years old (with threats); Rafael Cavalcante Moura, 32 years old; José Henrique de Lima Freitas, 28 years old (with passages for reception and crime against public faith); Bruno da Silva Triunfo, 26 years old (with passages for illegally carrying a firearm); and Gabriel Henrique de Lima Damasceno, 24 years old.

With them, the seven cars were recovered: a Ford Ranger model vehicle; a white Hilux; a white Hiluz SWS; a Jeep Renegade model car; a Fiat Pulse model vehicle; and two other cars without a model released by the police.
