Russian President Vladimir Putin has announced a temporary truce in the Russian -Ukraine War. The truce begins this afternoon and will last until midnight on Sunday. He also said that Ukraine violated the moratorium on energy infrastructure strikes more than 100 times. He told Russian Army leader Valeri Gerasimov to be ready to respond to Ukraine’s aggressive actions if they take place during a ceasefire. In a statement to the Telegram, the Kremlin states that the temporary ceasefire will run from 18:00 today (Russia and Greece) until midnight on Sunday, April 20. “Our troops must be ready to repel possible crossbar violations and challenges by the enemy, any offensive action,” the Kremlin announcement adds.
