Earthquake in Turkey: Ten people have been freed by the Greek team of EMAK

Her Greek team EMAK which assists in the investigations of those trapped in Turkey after the killer earthquakehas so far rescued ten people, five of whom had lost their lives.

Specifically, as announced by the Fire Department since yesterday (7/2) in the morning when the Greek mission started to operate and until now five people have been rescued alive as follows:

  • man about 50 years old (02-07-2023)
  • minor girl about 9 years old (02-07-2023)
  • minor girl about 7 years old (02-07-2023)
  • boy about 17 years old (08-02-2023)
  • woman about 20 years old (08-02-2023)

Meanwhile, five people have been recovered dead as follows:

  • minor girl of about three years (02-07-2023)
  • man about 40 years old (08-02-2023)
  • boy about 17 years old (08-02-2023)
  • infant of about four months (02-08-2023)
  • woman about 30 years old (08-02-2023)

As the Fire Brigade points out in its announcement, search and rescue operations continue, while the Greek forces are being reinforced, as a second EMAK team left Greece for Turkey.
