Earthquake in Turkey: 4th child found alive by Greek rescuers – His mother protected him with her body

Shocking moments have been unfolding for some time in a collapsed building in the city of Hatay Turkey where the Greek rescuers of EMAK are making tremendous efforts to rescue another child who was found alive in the ruins. The Greek firefighters heard the child’s voice and rushed to reach him, managing to get close to where he is trapped.

According to information from the Fire Brigade, the Greek rescuers witnessed a scene that shocked them, as the child is under the body of its mother, who has no signs of life and who probably tried to protect her child, when the house slab fell on them.

The wreckage of the house and the body of the mother they have trapped the child’s leg and rescuers’ efforts are focused on removing the wreckage and extricating it.

But the efforts were interrupted by a powerful man aftershock which forced the group to come out of the ruins for a while, by order of the group leaders, so that their lives would not be in danger.

However, the operation has started again and is in full swing with the hope that it will have a happy ending for the child, who is contacting the EMAK men.

It is noted, according to the Athens News Agency, that the child is the fifth person, along with the 50-year-old and three other children, who were freed alive by the Hellenic Rescue Mission.
