The US government announced Monday that it intends to impose additional customs duties of up to 3,521% in photovoltaic frameworks imported from Southeast Asia to compensate for their production support in various states in China. The duties relate to companies established in Cambodia, Malaysia, Thailand and Vietnam, said the International Trade Authority (ITA), which belongs to the Ministry of Commerce. Another department of the Ministry, the International Commerce Committee (ITC), is now called upon to identify, by June 2, whether the subsidies to these companies had a copy of their US competitors and to proceed with the imposition of ITA duties.
