Remains of a downed drone were found near the Ukrainian parliament building after an overnight Russian airstrike, the country’s parliament said in a statement on the Telegram messaging app on Saturday (7).
Ukraine’s air force said earlier that Russia launched 67 drones in a nationwide strike overnight, 58 of which it managed to shoot down.
Reuters correspondents in Kiev heard a series of explosions shortly after 3 a.m. local time.
The air force said in a statement on the Telegram app that air defense units had been deployed to action in 11 regions of Ukraine.
