Downton Abbey, Lady Edith had a child with Andrew

Laura Carmichael became a mother. With great discretion, away from the spotlight, one could say in great secrecy. The actress, currently in the room with Downton Abbey: A New Erasurprised fans a few years ago for the relationship with colleague Michael Fox.

Nothing scandalous, mind you, but it makes the audience smile at the idea that the blue-blooded Lady Edith interpreter is married to one of the Crawleys’ waiters, Andrew. In the fiction the boy marries the cook assistant Daisy (Sophie McShera), while the young lady is considered the ugly duckling of the house compared to her elder sister, Lady Mary (Michelle Dockery), who is convoluted to the altar with two of the most fascinating men around (the first, Matthew, who died in a car accident, is played by Dan Stevens, the second by Matthew Goode). Lady Edith, on the other hand, became pregnant as a maidenshe found herself silencing the scandal, only to finally find a rich and titled husband.

The reality, however, is quite different: the set was convicted in 2016 for the two actors but on their respective social networks they do not even put half photos together, nor of their everyday life.

Very little is known about the baby: his name is Luca and he was born in March, without the tabloids knowing. The news was revealed by an anonymous source to the Sun, who commented on the happiness of the new parents. The actress, who recently also appeared in The Spanish Princess (on Starzplay), he definitely experienced a memorable lockdown. Her pregnancy, which ended beautifully, allowed her to enjoy some time away from the set and the paparazzi.

In the few statements made on the lovestory she said she was grateful to be able to share the concerns and joys of the set with a partner who does the same job. \
