“On January 6, we had a great border. Nobody passed. We were energy independent. On January 6th, we had the lowest taxes ever, we had the lowest regulations ever,” he pointed out.
When Jake Tapper, from CNN, Pressed again to respond about voters’ concerns about democracy and the Constitution after the case, Trump said he had offered “10,000 troops or the National Guard” before his speech that day, and said he had refused.
Biden, for his part, said Trump encouraged people to go to the Capitol and sat in the Oval Office of the White House for three hours “watching, being implored by his vice president and several of his colleagues on the Republican side to do something, to call for an end, to end this.” [ataque ao Capitólio].
