Does the civilized and informative showdown increase the odds of Trump winning?

With the president of the United States, Donald Trump, lagging in national polls with former vice president and Democratic candidate Joe Biden, the final showdown between the two turned out to be much more civilized and informative than the first clash chaotic.

There was minimal interruptions from both sides, especially Trump, after he allegedly interrupted up to 73 times in the first debate. This could probably work in your favor, as the electoral contest becomes much tighter in some battlefield states where votes are likely to be decisive.

Joseph Trevisani, Senior Analyst at FXStreet, notes after the conclusion of the discussion:

An informative and challenging modulated debate. Both candidates kept interruptions to a minimum, allowing the other to speak and respond. Kristen Welker was by far the best moderator of the discussions.

The quality of the exchanges and the informational value was high. Each candidate performed well, although compared to the first debate, Trump showed much greater range.

Trump presented a different personality, and in that he probably helped himself more than Biden, who remained relatively unchanged from his previous appearances.

Market implications

Although this time both parties put on a better show, the debate did not move the market.

The American dollar trimmed the gains of its major pairs, while futures of the S&P 500 they were modestly flat around 3,450 levels. Most of the large companies remained stuck in narrow trading ranges.

Gold returned above $ 1,900, nearing the near-daily highs of $ 1907 at time of writing.
