To the Oktoberfests a traditional German festival that celebrates the country’s beer, culture and gastronomy, is coming. The second largest edition in the world takes place in Brazil in Blumenau, in Santa Catarina — second only to the traditional one in Munich — between the days October 9th and 27th .
In Brazil, event producers have already announced the attractions. For example, the Oktoberfest in the city of Igrejinha, in Rio Grande do Sul, features shows by Ana Castile and Thiaguinho . With the flood tragedy in May of this year, the organization launched the Socialization Project to encourage the public to carry out a social action or donation to help those who were affected.

The largest Oktoberfest in Brazil and the second largest in the world takes place in Blumenau, Santa Catarina, between October 9th and 27th. With 18 days of festivities, the event features several musical attractions, such as German bands Troglauer Buam and the Oktoberfestband Die Kirchdorfer and typical German foods.
The festival’s organizers have brought some new features this year. Among them, the Blumenau Chamber Orchestra at Oktoberfest, which will be the first concert in the festival’s history. In addition, there will be facial recognition with an access system at the turnstiles. Another innovation is a program energy efficiency on water and electricity consumption.

The second largest Oktoberfest in the country takes place in Santa Cruz do Sul, in Rio Grande do Sul, between October 10th and 27th. The event, which features drinks, typical foods and an amusement park, also brings several attractions to the public, mainly Brazilian music.

The city of Igrejinha, in the metropolitan region of Porto Alegre, hosts the third largest party in Brazil. With shows by Ana Castela, Thiaguinho, Hugo & Guilherme and Jorge & Mateus, the event takes place between October 11th and 20th.
The public can also enjoy typical German cuisine. The event offers traditional pork knuckle, sauerkraut and bock sausage. In addition to these dishes, there is also cuca, sausage and radish.
With the flooding disaster that hit the state in May of this year, the organization launched the Socialization Project in this edition to benefit the community in the region. With this, they hope to encourage the public to carry out a social action or donation to benefit some entity or population. Registrations are made through from this linkuntil August 31st.
In addition, the 35th edition of the festival also features a multisensory room for people with Autism Spectrum Disorder . “The room will be implemented in one of the half-timbered houses in Vila Germânica and will be open throughout the festival,” said Silvia Bischoff, director of Apae de Igrejinha and AMIFEST volunteer, in a statement released to the press.

The event takes place at the Barigui Park Exhibition Center, in Curitiba, Paraná, between the days October 18th and 20th . The celebration of German culture brings music, typical foods, competitions and lots of beer.
In the second edition, there is a children’s area, the main pavilion (where the event’s main attractions take place) and a square dedicated to craft breweries.

Qingdao, China
Asia’s Oktoberfest, called Qingdao International Beer Festival occurs annually during the summer in the northern hemisphere — that is, between the months of July and August. The event began on July 19 and ends this Sunday (11).
As the largest beer festival in Asia, the event offers over 2,000 types of beer from over 40 countries and regions. The festival also features plenty of music on several stages and both Eastern and Western food.
The first edition took place in 1991 to celebrate the 100th anniversary of the city of Qingdao. The party usually takes place at Golden Sands Beach, which is located in the region.

Munich, Germany
The most traditional Oktoberfest celebration takes place annually in Munich, Germany. The 189th edition of the festival that celebrates beer culture will take place in 2024, between September 21 and October 6.
Traditionally, the event begins with the tapping of the barrel by the city’s mayor — and this year will be no different. But Oktoberfest also brings something new this year: it offers a virtual visit to the festival, mainly for young people and children with disabilities, a project that won the German Mittelstand Innovation award.
The festival also offers attractions such as a swing carousel, roller coaster, Ferris wheel and the famous Münchner Rutschn (literally translated as the Munich slide). The public can also enjoy several shops and tents with typical foods, wine, various sweets and, of course, beer.

THE Oktoberfest Zinzinnati in Cincinnati, Ohio, in the United States, takes place between September 19 and 22, 2024.
With lots of music and beer, the first edition of the event took place in 1976 and became the largest in the country, with 700 thousand people participating every year.
The musical and entertainment attractions have not been announced by the organization, but should be announced in August. Admission is free.
