Diesel price at gas stations in Brazil rises after 3 months, says Ticket Log

Prices of regular diesel (S500) at gas stations in Brazil rose 0.99% in the first ten days of November compared to October, while S10 diesel (with lower sulfur content) rose 0.79%, according to a survey released this Friday. (11) by Ticket Log, Edenred Brasil’s fleet management and mobility solutions brand.

The average price of a liter of common diesel closed the period from November 1st to 10th at R$ 7.03, while the S10 was sold, on average, for R$ 7.12, ending three months of decline.

According to Ticket Log, all regions showed an increase in the price of both types of diesel, with the exception of the Southeast, where the common was 0.18% cheaper compared to October, at R$ 6.67 per liter.

“After three consecutive months of declines, the price of diesel is rising again at the country’s supply pumps”, said Douglas Pina, Director General of Mainstream of the Fleet and Mobility Division of Edenred Brasil.

“At the end of October, the survey found that the value of a liter of fuel was still showing a decline, but already decelerated, compared to previous months. In other words, it was already possible to perceive a trend of change in the scenario in the average price applied to the pumps”, said Pina, in a note.
