Di Maio: We are all working to avoid tension in Ukraine

“We have decided to ask, for precautionary reasons, all Italian citizens who are in Ukraine to return to our country by commercial means and to postpone all travel to Ukraine. Another decision we have taken is the repatriation of that part of the staff of our embassy in Kiev, which is not absolutely necessary. Our embassy, ​​however, remains fully operational. These days I had talks with my European counterparts and with Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov. “We are all working to prevent the escalation of tensions in the Ukrainian crisis.”
