The car of Federal Deputy Sargento Portugal (Somos-RJ) was shot on the morning of Thursday (17) in Antares, Santa Cruz, West Zone of Rio de Janeiro.
It is not yet known if he was the target of an attack or if the car went through a shooting area.
According to preliminary information, the parliamentarian was heading for a social project in the region when the vehicle was shot.
The Military Police reported that agents of the 27th BPM (Santa Cruz) were fired after reports of firearm shots in the locality. Upon arriving, they found that a vehicle had been shot. Still in a statement, the PM said the car used by the deputy is armored, which prevented him from being hurt.
On social networks, Sergeant Portugal spoke about the episode and stated that “they attacked his car once again trying to take his life.” The parliamentarian did not give further details about what happened, but stressed that it is well.
The case was registered in the 36th DP (Santa Cruz) and the steps to investigate the circumstances of the crime and identify the perpetrators of the attack have already begun.
