Deolane Bezerra is taken to the IML for a forensic examination

Lawyer and influencer Deolane Bezerra left the Department of Crimes Against Property (Depatri), in Recife (PE), and was transported to the Legal Medical Institute (ILM) for a forensic examination, on the afternoon of this Wednesday (4).

Deolane was arrested this morning in an operation that investigates a money laundering and illegal gambling scheme.

The forensic examination is a medical examination carried out to document and analyze physical injuries and attest to the integrity of the prisoner after arrest.

According to the CNN after the examination, the influencer must be sent to the Colônia Penal Feminina prison, in the state capital.

The influencer became known on the internet after the death of her husband, MC Kevin, a funk singer who died in May 2021, at the age of 23, after falling from the 5th floor of a hotel in Barra da Tijuca, in the west zone of Rio de Janeiro.

Since her husband’s death, Bezerra began to gain millions of followers and act as a digital influencer. Today, on one social network alone, there are more than 20 million users who follow her routine through the networks.

After being arrested this Tuesday (4), at the family home in Recife, during an operation launched by the Civil Police of Pernambuco, Deolane was sent to the headquarters of the Department for the Repression of Property Crimes (Depatri), in the west zone of the capital of Pernambuco.

Operation Integration aims to curb money laundering and illegal gambling. According to investigators, the criminal organization under investigation is believed to have moved R$3 billion from illegal gambling.

Lawyer and influencer Deolane Bezerra and her mother, Solange Alves, were arrested in the same operation. Deolane’s sister spoke out on social media about the arrest. Deolane herself wrote an “open letter” on her Instagram, asking for support from her more than 20 million followers.

The investigation was supported by the Financial Activities Control Council (COAF) and the International Criminal Police Organization, Interpol. Around 170 agents are on the streets of the cities of Recife (PE), Campina Grande (PB), Barueri (SP), Cascavel (PR), Curitiba (PR) and Goiânia (GO).

In total, 19 arrest warrants and 24 search and seizure warrants, issued by the 12th Criminal Court of the District of Recife, are being served in cities in five states.
