Demonstrations in the Netherlands, Switzerland, Britain against Putin over the death of Alexei Navalny

Several hundred people demonstrated tonight on Dam Square, in front of the royal palaces in Amsterdam, as well as outside the Russian embassy in The Hague, on the railings of which they hung a portrait of Alexei Navalny.

Demonstrators held placards reading “Putin is a murderer” and “Don't give up”, according to the ANP news agency.

In Switzerland, around 150 people gathered in Geneva, holding flowers and placards. A woman held a banner that read, in English, “Putin is a murderer. A spontaneous demonstration also took place in Zurich, near the city's train station, the Keystone-ATS news agency reported. “Putin killed Navalny,” read a poster held by the crowd.

In London, several hundred people gathered outside the Russian embassy. “Navalni is our hero” and “My Russia is in prison” they shouted in English and Russian. Others held placards with slogans such as “We are Navalny” and “O Putin burn in hell.”
