The number of people killed in the Israeli missile attack on a multi-story building in southern Beirut rose to 31, Lebanese Health Minister Firass Abiad said.
In a press conference this Saturday (21), Abiad said the dead included three children and seven women.
Three Syrian citizens were killed, he said, and 68 people were injured.
The information came after Hezbollah confirmed that at least 16 of its operatives, including high-ranking commanders, were killed in Friday’s (20) airstrike.
Rescue teams were still clearing rubble on Saturday, Abiad said, and searching for missing people. They recovered body parts that are unidentifiable.
The minister also updated the death toll from the pager and walkie-talkie explosions that targeted Hezbollah members earlier this week to 39; 12 on Tuesday and 27 on Wednesday.
