According to the police, the young woman had stab wounds to the neck, abdomen and back, however, the murder weapon has yet to be found.
The police reported, according to New York Postthat Secundino, who owned several nightclubs, was murdered “over matters involving embezzlement” of her businesses.
The authorities they have already arrested two suspects for the murderher 45-year-old male driver, Leandro Aparecido Dos Santos, and 31-year-old Cintia Maria Feliciano Peixe, one of the 28-year-old’s best friends who worked in one of Secundino’s wine cellars.
“The victim’s partner said Thaís had gone to meet her friend to give her some explanations and never returned,” police said. “Both deny killing the model, but there is strong evidence that they were involved in her murder.”
Due to the “heinous” nature of the crime, the two suspects will be remanded in custody for 30 days.
As part of their investigation, officers seized the victim’s car along with the suspects’ phones. Authorities are also reviewing security camera footage taken in the area around the time of Thaís’ death.
Investigators declined to release further details about the case, which is ongoing.
