Daughters of Adam Sandler and Drew Barrymore discover “Like It’s the First Time”

The daughters of Drew Barrymore, 49, and Adam Sandler, 58, decided to keep things in the family for one of their movie nights.

According to Too Fab, Barrymore revealed on an upcoming episode of her daytime talk show that she recently walked in on one of her daughters and one of Sandler’s daughters watching the romantic comedy they starred in together, “Like It’s the First Time.”

“My daughter and Adam’s daughter were watching ‘Like It’s the First Time’ at my house the other day,” Barrymore said. “I thought, why are you guys watching this? Don’t you see enough of me and your father?”

She did not identify which of her daughters enjoyed the movie session. Barrymore is mom to Olive, 12, and Frankie, 10, with her ex-husband Will Kopelman, while Sandler is dad to Sunny, 16, and Sadie, 18, with his wife Jackie Sandler.

In the 2004 film, Barrymore plays a woman who loses her memory every day and Sandler plays the man who woos her despite her memory loss. She had already shared on her program that the film was initially called “50 First Kisses” (50 First Kisses, in Portuguese).

“It was a drama, set in Seattle,” Barrymore said. “The original ending had her saying, ‘You should get on with your life, because there’s no life here.’ And he leaves, as happens, and he comes back and walks into the restaurant, and just sits down and says, “Hi, I’m Henry.” And the film ends.”

Her partner on “The Drew Barrymore Show,” Ross Mathews, thanked her for changing that ending.
