A dad has gone viral on TikTok after saying he took his 3-year-old son for a manicure after the child’s teacher told him he couldn’t paint his nails because it was “girls only”.
“Yesterday my son came home from school very sad because his teacher told him that nail painting is only for girls. So today I’m taking him to a nail salon,” said Christian Shearhod, the child’s father, in the video. The case took place in California, United States.

Christian’s account with his son Ashton already has more than 4 million views and 700 thousand likes on social networks.
The video also shows the family going to the salon. There, decided, the boy also chose the color of nail polish: “I want pink”.
“On my hands and feet,” asked little Ashton. The father still jokes: “I don’t know where he learned these things”.
At the end of the video, Christian warns, “Let the boys like what they like… trucks, Spider-Man, ‘Paw Patrol’ and maybe nail polish.”
After the situation, the father went to the child’s school and complained about the teacher’s speech, which was not identified by the boy.
COMMENTS IN THE VIDEO
In the publication, the father received several positive comments about the attitude: “You are an incredible father, congratulations”, said an Internet user. Another wrote: “Lucky kid to have amazing parents like that.”
However, there were those who made inappropriate comments about the situation. “So your son is gay?” asked one user.
Answering the question, Christian angrily says: “My son is literally 3 years old. He’s not gay because he doesn’t have a sexuality yet. And you’re not going to assign a sexuality to him because he likes things that are girly or outside of your typical gender norm.”
@mr.shearhod Replying to @nachomanzz_ Just because I let my son express himself without gender boundaries doesn’t make him gay..
