THE Disney announced this Saturday (9), during the D23 Brazil in São Paulo, more details of a new area and attraction inspired by the film “Monsters Inc. ” that will open in one of its amusement parks in Orlando, Florida (USA).
In addition to a city based on “Monstropolis ”, the fictional location where Sullivan and Mike live in the animation, a new roller coaster will also be launched at the Hollywood Studios park.
This will be the first time that Disney has a suspended roller coaster and, in the images shown on the event panel, the attraction will have hanging doors, just like in the film.
The first film in the franchise was released in 2001, and the second, titled “Monsters University ”, hit the big screen in 2013.
In addition to the new “Monsters Inc” area, other news regarding parks and cruises were revealed at D23.
Two other panels from the event held in São Paulo are still expected this Saturday (9). One of them will be dedicated to the 30th anniversary of “Toy Story ”.
The other promises to reveal news about the Disney studios, in particular, regarding Disney films and series. Marvel and from Lucasfilm responsible for the franchise “Star Wars ”.
THE D23 Brazil is a global expansion of the experience run since 2009 by The Walt Disney Company’s official fan club, D23.
The name “D23 ” carries a special meaning, with the “D” representing Disney and the “23” referring to the year in which Walt Disney opened his first studio in Hollywood in 1923.
