The Ministry of Health of Cyprus announced the start of the 4th booster dose for people over 80 years of age and the 3rd dose for people aged 12-17, as part of the efforts made to strengthen the immunity of groups of the population that are most vulnerable to severe coronavirus disease.
The administration of the specific supportive doses will start from Wednesday, March 30, 2022, through the walk-in vaccination centers that operate in all the provinces of Cyprus and is optional.
Specifically:
a) The supportive / 4th installment in the first phase will be given to people over 80 years, to people regardless of age who live or work in nursing homes and closed structures, given that the period of five months has passed since receiving the support / 3rd dose.
For the vaccine to be given to persons over 80 years of age, an identification document (identity card, passport) and the vaccination card must be presented.
Information will be provided regarding the vaccination with booster / 4th dose for people aged 70 and over, health professionals and immunosuppressed people.
b) The booster / 3rd dose will be administered to individuals over 12 years of age with MRNA technology vaccine given that the period of six (6) months from the receipt of the 2nd dose has passed.
For the vaccination to be given to people aged 12-17, an identification document (identity card, passport) and the vaccination card must be presented.
