Deposits in the listed tokens will no longer be accepted, and exchange clients have time to withdraw assets until May 28, 2024 10:00 (UTC). The exchange advised clients to close orders on these crypto assets as soon as possible to avoid complications.
If the withdrawal of funds is made after May 28, it will be considered that the user himself abandoned the crypto assets. He will no longer be able to demand the assets back or exchange them for any other KuCoin products. The exchange noted that if during this period clients of the platform are unable to withdraw funds in the specified crypto assets, KuCoin will not be able to cover their losses.
Effective August 31, KuCoin announced stricter Know Your Customer (KYC) requirements. This is due to increased security levels to more effectively combat money laundering and terrorist financing through cryptocurrencies.
