The singer and songwriter Cristina Buarque sister of Chico Buarque died this Sunday (20) to 74 years . The cause of death was not disclosed.

Cristina was the historian’s daughter Sérgio Buarque de Holanda and the pianist Maria Amelia Cesário Alvim . In addition to Chico, she was also sister of the singers Ana de Hollanda and Miucha who died in 2018.
Chico’s daughter, Silvia Buarque, lamented her death. “Forever with me,” wrote the actress in a social media post.
Born in São Paulo, Cristina’s works turned to the genres of samba and MPB (Brazilian popular music).
His first album, “Cristina”, was released in 1974. In it, he recorded compositions of known names of Brazilian music. They are part of Chico’s own album “Tattoo” in partnership with Ruy Guerra, “How many tears”, Manacéa, “At Dawn”, by Cartola, “This I don’t”, by Tom Jobim, “Compressed”, by Paulinho da Viola, among other songs.
