US President Donald Trump today criticized his Ukrainian counterpart Volodimir Zelenski for his “arson” statement on Crimea, accusing him of making it difficult for the dialogue to reach an agreement to end the war. “Crimea was lost years ago,” Trump said in a post on the Truth Social platform, commenting on Zelenski’s position that Ukraine is not going to recognize the annexation of the peninsula to the Russian Federation. “No one is asking Zelenski to recognize Crimea as Russian territory but, if he wants Crimea, because they did not fight for it 11 years ago when (the peninsula) was handed over to Russia without falling a sphere?” The US president wrote.
