One of the most common New Year’s goals is apparently very simple, but in practice it is more complicated than we thought. We are talking about the simple but necessary habit of saving. We know that we do not have to tell you about the advantages of saving, since you have surely read about them more than once and have also tried to start saving a part, even if it is very small, of your income on more than one occasion.
The reality is that saving is not so easy when it seems that our entire fortnight disappears in a matter of days, especially when there are responsibilities, such as maintaining a home. However, some tips and saving techniques can encourage you to make an effort to get started. Remember that it is never too late and it does not matter if you can only save small amounts, over time, you will see a difference.
You won’t believe how much money they raised!

Brenda is a Mexican girl who shared on her TikTok account the technique that she and her husband used to save 365 days a year in 2021, and between the two of them they managed to collect more than 130 thousand Mexican pesos – a little more than 6 thousand 300 Dollars.
What they did was that they numbered a series of envelopes from 1 to 365 (that is, there was an envelope for each day of the year) and each day they took an envelope and put in the amount of money corresponding to a box (for example, if they took out a envelope with the 30th, they kept 30 Mexican pesos). They managed to stay disciplined throughout the year and that is how they collected 133 thousand 630 Mexican pesos – almost 6 thousand 500 dollars.
Be persistent!

Sure, they had some rules that helped them increase their savings. If they got a number from 1 to 20, they put 20 Mexican pesos, never less. And if they drew, for example, the number 59, they rounded the amount and put 60, so as not to struggle with the change.
Brenda says that the most important thing is to be persistent and not get discouraged. In addition, she admits that many times it was very discouraging to get large numbers, especially when they were more or less in the middle of the year, but she says that she does not regret it and that it is a very useful method that she and her husband will repeat this year.
