A man, aged 33, and a woman, aged 34, were arrested red-handed this Wednesday (30) by the Civil Police of Minas Gerais (PCMG), in Itabira, central region of the state.
They are suspected of involvement in drug trafficking in the region. During the operation, a search and seizure warrant was executed at the couple’s residence, located in the Juca Batista neighborhood. According to agents, several types of narcotics were found buried in the backyard of the house where the couple’s pet slept.
According to PCMG, in September this year, an intense movement of drug users at the couple’s residence began to attract the attention of the police. The investigations resulted in the Operation that seized 20 bars of marijuana, five pieces of marijuana bars, two packages containing a similar substance, in addition to 942 loofahs and a small portion of the same drug.
In addition, cocaine pins were also found at the scene, totaling almost 5 kilos of the drug, 375 stones and a small bar of crack, totaling almost 200 grams of the drug.
In addition to the drugs, the police seized ten cell phones, a tablet, three precision scales, three credit card machines, two notebooks, a .40 caliber pistol charger and eight notebooks with accounting information on drug trafficking.
The two were arrested red-handed, taken to the police station and after giving statements they were taken to the prison system.
