The students of the 106th class of the Faculty of Medicine of the University of São Paulo (USP) are organizing themselves to present criminal representations against student Alicia Muller, investigated for embezzling R$ 927,000 from the graduation committee.
The expectation is that, in the coming weeks, dozens of official manifestations will be made to the 16th Police District. The decision was taken after Justice denied a request for preventive detention against the former chairman of the commission.
According to sources heard by the CNN the students are still planning whether to go together or separately to the Police Station.
The objective is to increase the police investigation that will be returned to the Civil Police by the Justice of São Paulo, after recommendation of the Public Prosecutor’s Office. The responsible police station is still awaiting the return of the process.
In the decision, Judge Fabio Pando de Matos agreed with the Public Ministry of São Paulo and pointed out that the investigation should return to the 16th police district for further investigations.
The prosecutor Fabiano Pavan Severiano understood that Alicia Muller committed the crime of embezzlement and not of embezzlement, as pointed out by the Police.
Unlike what happens with embezzlement, in the case of embezzlement, the law requires a criminal representation of the victims in order to file a complaint.
