Cooperation between PF and Mossad is hampered, director general tells CNN

“It broke trust, which is fundamental in any international cooperation,” said Rodrigues in an exclusive interview.

Video: Brazilians linked to Hezbollah were preparing attacks in Brazil, says PF

The PF had been exchanging information with the Israeli and United States police to identify an alleged network linked to the Hezbollah group, which was planning attacks on synagogues and Jewish community buildings in Brazil.

The PF director general “vehemently repudiated” the statements made by the Brazilian ambassador, Daniel Zonshine. He reportedly told the newspaper “O Globo” that “if Hezbollah chose Brazil it is because there are people who help them”.

Among PF investigators, irritation is great. According to sources from the corporation, the investigation began in an inquiry here in Brazil and Mossad wants to “take credit” and that “you cannot trust a partner who does this as soon as the operation is launched”.

Israel’s Prime Minister, Benjamin Netanyahu, also spoke out on social media about the case, speaking openly about the involvement of the Israeli secret police.
