Cook Alminda Maria Teixeira da Costa Neta, 36, died after a pressure cooker exploded in the kitchen of a steakhouse in Mogi Guaçu, in the interior of São Paulo, around 9 pm on Thursday (9). The victim was on his first day of work at the site.
The accident was recorded by the establishment’s security camera. Alminda appears in the image handling plastic gloves next to the stove. When the explosion happens, she is hit, hits the sink and falls to the floor. You can see the other employees looking for help.
Churrascaria Chimarrão issued a statement in which it reported that the cook was given the necessary help and that it is offering assistance to the victim’s family, who resides in another state and cannot be present at this time.
Military police were called to respond to the incident.
