The band Coldplay released, this Monday (1st), the video for his newest song, “Feelslikeimfallinginlove” . The record is all interpreted in the American Sign Language per Chris Martin lead singer of the group, and by the actress Natasha Ofili (“The Politician”).
Coldplay uses a black and white aesthetic for the new song’s video, alternating between Natasha and Chris’s interpretation of sign language, with the band performing with deaf members of the Venezuelan Sign Language (VSL) section of the Coro de Manos Blancas, from El Sistema Venezuela.
The audiovisual was recorded at the Odeon of Herodes Atticus, an ancient theater located in Athens. In addition to starring in the video, Natasha also signs the script and creative direction.
This is not the first time the band has focused on sign language. During their visit to Brazil, at Rock in Rio in 2022, and during their tour of the country in 2023, Coldplay had already used this form of communication in songs such as “Something Just Like This” and “Hymn For The Weekend”. “Feelslikeimfallinginlove” is the first single from Coldplay’s upcoming album, “Moon Music,” which will be released on October 4. The project promises to set new standards in sustainability, with each LP (vinyl record) made from 100% recyclable plastic bottles. Nine bottles will be used per record.
