Danish trading platform Coinify has received approval from the Italian Organization of Stock Agents and Brokers (OAM) to provide cryptocurrency services in the country.
Now, the digital asset brokerage, which is already licensed to operate in over 180 countries and regions, will offer its cryptocurrency payment processing services in Italy.
Last August, crypto lender Voyager Digital acquired Coinify for $15 million and its stake. In July of this year, Voyager filed for bankruptcy, but the company recently announced that it was preparing a restructuring plan and resuming the withdrawal of cash from the platform.
Note that Italy has significantly increased the list of crypto companies licensed to operate in the country – just last month, Crypto.com, BitGo and Bitstamp registered with OAM. Previously, the Binance, Coinbase, Kraken, Bitpanda exchanges and the Trade Republic brokerage company received permission to work in the country.
