The phenomenon news fatigue it’s nothing new. Every other day, we hear someone say that they no longer read, listen or watch the news because they are overloaded with the – almost infinite – daily stimuli from the internet, which are often negative.
Psychological exhaustion was even more accentuated after events such as the Covid-19 Pandemic, the War in Ukraine and the Presidential Elections in the United States and Brazil, which have become frequent subjects in the news since 2020.
Thinking about alleviating this scenario, CNN Good News appears, an exclusively digital program presented by Flávia Martins, which will tell the best news of the week from Brazil and the World: advances in the area of health, disruptive technological innovations, people who do good and funny (or even heartwarming) stories.
Quadriplegics who walk again with the help of artificial intelligence, promising treatments for cancer and altruistic everyday “superheroes”: all these topics will be part of the weekly news menu of CNN Good News.
And the format is as light as possible: relaxed and with the company of puppies for adoption. It airs every Friday at 8 pm on the CNN Pop YouTube channel. All episodes will be available for you to watch whenever you want.

Partnership with Adopt ViCa
With each program, accompanying the flow of what is working in the world, will be the dogs from AdoteViCa.
In 2017, unhappy with the sale of puppies in a pet shop franchise they had bought, the couple Amanda Senna and Marcos Vieira da Cunha decided to transform the business structure into an adoption point.
Since then, maintaining the normal offer of petshop services, the owners of the former “Vito e Carmela” have already changed the lives of more than six thousand animals and families who chose to adopt.
Most cats and dogs arrive at ViCa through a partnership with Recanto Bicho Feliz, an NGO that brings together animals rescued from abandonment or risk situations.
The Instagram page, filled with the pets and their stories and also with portraits of their new families, already has nearly 190,000 followers. Chefs Paola Carosella and Bela Gil are examples of personalities who passed through the adoption center and took home new members for their families.
How to adopt?
In addition to wanting to have a partner for life and, of course, responsibility to take care of him for many years, AdoteViCa has some rules.
To take an animal home, the adoption center requires the person to be over 18 years of age and to bring their RG and proof of residence when adopting.
The ViCa adoption center is located at Rua Pamplona, 1481, in the Jardins district of São Paulo. Open from Monday to Friday, from 8.30 am to 8 pm, and on Saturdays, from 9 am to 6 pm.
