The website of CNN Brazil reached 187 million page views last May. The result was the highest achieved by the platform since its debut and represents a growth of 41% compared to the previous month.
On TV, the 20% growth also in relation to April, means a reach of 10 million people in a single month. On YouTube, the CNN reached 15 million individuals, an increase of 31% compared to the same period last year.
The results were driven by coverage of floods in Rio Grande do Sul.
“Whenever something happens that arouses public interest, we see an increase in the search for CNN Brazil . There was the same movement when we covered the war in Ukraine or the attacks between Hamas and Israel in the Middle East”, says Virgílio Abranches, VP of Journalism, Content and Operations at CNN Brazil .
“But the hearing is just a consequence. It is a recognition that the public trusts our work. The focus is always on good journalism, with respect for the facts and a feeling of solidarity with the victims of these tragedies”, he added.

Public trust in the brand CNN This is confirmed by recent quantitative research on news consumption, which interviewed 2 thousand people across Brazil.
The study, carried out by CNN on the PiniOn research platform, it points out that 96% of Brazilians consume news on a daily basis.

- • 8 out of 10 multiplatform consumers evaluate CNN Brasil positively;
- • 76% agree that CNN is a brand that values the credibility of information;
- • 8 out of 10 associate CNN Brasil directly with the brand’s main attributes: Relevance (84%), Agility (84%) and Balance (80%);
“The research confirms that the CNN It is already part of the consumption habits of millions of Brazilians, regardless of the platform”, says Henrique Simões, executive director of CMI and Native Digital Content.
“And more than audience attendance, the recognition of the brand’s extremely positive attributes demonstrates that the company has a solid growth path”, he concludes.
