According to CNBC, US President Donald Trump signed a decree on the pardon of the co -founders of the Bitmex cryptocurrency exchange Arthur Hais, Benjamin Delu and Samuel Reed, who previously pleaded guilty to violation of the Banking Secret Law.

The reasons for the pardon are still unclear – all three have already been convicted and received not too significant punishments, such as house arrest, test terms and fines.

It is worth noting that at the moment the White House has not published an official statement of pardon. Nevertheless, from January 20, Trump signed such decrees for a large number of people, including the founder of Silk Road Ross Ulbricht.

Recall that the US trade futures trade (CFTC) filed a lawsuit against BitMex and its founders back in 2020. The defendants included the General Director of BitMEX Arthur Hayes, co -founder Bitmex Ben Delo, Technical Director Samuel Reed and business development manager in Bitmex Greg Dwyer.

Arthur Hais was forced to leave the general director. In 2022, Heis pleaded guilty to “intentional refusal to introduce a program to counteract money laundering.” A little later, Rid made a similar statement. The BitMex exchange was a fine of $ 100 million.
