Claudia Raia , 57, revealed that he is in favor of legalizing abortion. The actress, mother of Enzo, 27, and Sophia, 21, from her previous marriage to Edson Celulari, 66, and little Luca, 1, from her relationship with Jarbas Homem de Mello, 55, addressed the controversial topic during her participation in Roda Viva program on Monday (6).
At one point during the conversation, when asked if she had already had the experience, Claudia replied: “I've had an abortion, but it ended up being spontaneous, because I made a film, in Xingu, and I had the yellow fever vaccine, and I was pregnant and didn't know it. I was taking the pill [anticoncepcional]and I was pregnant and didn’t know it.”
Despite not having consciously terminated the pregnancy, the star stated that the choice to continue the pregnancy or not is up to the woman.
“I am in favor [da legalização do aborto]. The woman who knows what's happening to her. You are not forced to have a pregnancy if you don't want to, if you are raped, because if you don't want to, it's your body. You need to have this autonomy over your body and over a pregnancy, a life that you will generate”, he pointed out.
