THE CNN Specialist in education Claudia Costin said, this Wednesday (3), that she is concerned about the change in the admission criteria of the University for All Program (ProUni), which started to open doors for those who attended high school in a private school without a scholarship. .
“Surveillance is going to be very important,” said the CNN Specialist fearing that there will be fraud in the income criterion such as those registered in Auxílio Brasil.
“For us, who believe that higher education is not just for the rich and white, it is very important that we take a very close look at what is happening,” he added.
Registration for the second edition of 2022 of ProUni goes until Thursday (4). The program now accepts applications from students who have attended high school in private institutions without a scholarship, as long as they meet the established per capita income criteria.
Even with the fear that low-income students who attended high school in public schools would lose space among the scholarship holders, the CNN Specialist praised the program.
“ProUni and Fies played an important role in slightly expanding access to higher education for those who come from less affluent families,” he said.
