The great wave of solidarity with those affected by the floods in Rio Grande do Sul surprised the authorities, at the same time as it posed the logistical challenge of distributing tons of items sent by people from all over Brazil.
This Friday (24), the state's Civil Defense released a report on the donations received and forwarded by the agency to 165 affected municipalities.
Among the most donated items are basic food baskets, clothes, water and cleaning and personal hygiene materials, received at the Logistics Centers (Clogs), filtered and distributed to the municipalities according to a survey carried out by the agency.

- Water: 1,538,133 Liters
- Food: 355.97 tons
- Blankets and bedding: 115,670 items
- Mattresses: 21,458 units
- Diapers: 40,183
- Hygiene and Cleaning Materials: 138,515 items
- Personal Hygiene Materials: 240,939 kits
- Animal feed: 61,908 bags
- Clothing: 363,863 kits
The list of municipalities that received the most items includes the small towns of Eldorado do Sul, which was completely flooded and had its entire population evacuated.

FAB numbers
The Brazilian Air Force (FAB) also released this Friday (24) figures for Operation Taquari II in support of the population of Rio Grande do Sul. There are more than 1200 hours flown, whether in rescues or transporting injured people and donations.
