The presidential candidate Ciro Gomes (PDT) stated that it will renationalize Petrobras and Eletrobras, if it wins this year’s elections and the companies are privatized beforehand by the Jair Bolsonaro (PL) government.
“If I have one day the good fortune to serve this great nation as its president and they have handed over to Petrobras or Eletrobras, I will take it back,” he said on Tuesday (24) in a live broadcast.
Ciro called on Lula to make an identical demonstration.
“I challenge Lula here, who is leading the polls. If you, Lula, have good intentions with Brazil, you have to talk to all these and wrongs what I said because no investor will come to buy something if the first and third place in the polls, even before the campaign, announce that they will undo this deal.”
“Therefore, I, Ciro Gomes, once president of Brazil, take back Eletrobras and take back Petrobras for the Brazilian people if Bolsonaro criminally (privatizes)”, reiterated the PDT pre-candidate.
