Cimed private plane leaves the runway when landing in Rio Grande do Sul

A medium-sized plane belonging to João Adibe, owner of the pharmaceutical and cosmetics brand Cimed, was involved in an incident this Tuesday (23), while landing at Comandante Kraemer Airport, in Erechim, Rio Grande do Sul.

According to the concessionaire Voe Xap, which manages the airport, the Learjet 45 aircraft took off from Chapecó Airport bound for Erechim at around 1:30 pm today. The causes of the incident are already being investigated by the authorities.

In a statement, the Brazilian Air Force (FAB) reported that investigators from the Aeronautical Accident Investigation and Prevention Center (CENIPA), at the Canoas unit, were called to respond to the incident.

Through social media, João Adibe's team spoke out confirming the incident and clarifying that “all passengers and crew are safe”. It was not known whether there were any injuries or what exactly the incident was.
