Chocolate truffles for Christmas: the easy recipe that works

It is always undecided on what to prepare dessert during the holidays. Of course, just pandoro and panettone would be enough, or the traditional sweets of which the boot is packed, but to vary or to surprise someone special things get more difficult. So we thought about the chocolate truffles, ideal for Christmas and the days around: simple to make, you can make them in large quantities, you can package them well and give them to friends.

Chocolate truffles, the perfect recipe

Ingrediants

70% dark chocolate 500 g, 400 g condensed milk, coffee powder or soluble, 1 pinch of salt, unsweetened cocoa powder to taste

Procedure

To make the perfect chocolate truffles, first coarsely chop the dark chocolate and melt it in a bain-marie or in the microwave. In the latter case, be careful not to burn it but only operate the oven for a few seconds at a time, stirring the chocolate before proceeding. Now add the condensed milk to the chocolate, mixing well to incorporate it all and obtain a homogeneous mixture.

You will notice a change in consistency: the fats of the two ingredients, by magic, will make the dough thick and malleable. Also add the salt and pour the mixture into a baking dish. Leave it at room temperature for half an hour. Organize the work surface: keep a small bowl with cocoa inside at hand, and if you want some small Christmas baking cups. Put on your kitchen gloves, take a knob of dough and shape it to obtain a sphere; pass it well in the cocoa and place it on a tray lined with baking paper or directly in the cup. Let the truffles rest in the cold before serving, and keep them in the refrigerator.
