It shocks the video which sees the light of day from the attack on a kindergarten in the central Chinawhere cost the lives of three people. The video shows enan policeman to carry a child in his arms in an ambulance.
The main suspect has fled, local police said.
“An armed thug wearing a hat and mask broke in” at 10:22 a.m. local time at this building in eastern China’s Xianxi province, a police statement said. “Public security agencies are making every effort to find the suspect,” aged 48, said police in Anfu County, where the tragedy occurred.
The identities and ages of the victims have not yet been released. The police statement also did not specify the weapon used. But sharp weapons are often used in these types of attacks.
Knife attacks, as reported by APE-MPE, occur regularly in China, due to a lack of other lethal instruments used for homicides in a country where carrying weapons is not allowed for ordinary citizens.
Some of these attacks specifically target young students and occur almost across the country every year.
In June 2021, a knife-wielding man killed six people and injured 14 others on the streets of Anqing in eastern China.
A person armed with a knife attacked kindergarten in Beiliu, in the south of the country, last April, killing two children and injuring 16 people.
In 2018, a man who stabbed nine children to death and injured 11 in northern China was sentenced to death.
