Chef Morena Leite opens new house at Instituto Tomie Ohtake

stay inside the Instituto Tomie Ohtake in São Paulo, the new bet of chef Morena Leite . Casa Capim Santo will be a mix of restaurant and event space, which this time features a fusion between Brazilian and Japanese cuisine.

“Bringing elements of these two cultures into the recipes was giving a new look at gastronomy. This came naturally and organically, since we are in the complex that houses the Instituto Tomie Ohtake, a Brazilian-born Japanese plastic artist, whom I had the pleasure of meeting”, says the chef.

Some examples of this gastronomic fusion are the yakimeshi de suã (rice with egg pulled with pork and artisanal sausage, finished with plenty of nirá, soft yolk egg and onion crispy – R$ 69), the pork belly (shashu ) with corn couscous and nirá (R$74), and the wasabi meringue dessert with yellow fruit compote and uvaia ice cream (R$28).

At night, Casa Capim Santo takes on its profile as an environment for celebrations and brings all the expertise of the renowned Buffet Capim Santo, which usually caters for major events such as Rock in Rio, MultiShow Award and carnival boxes in Sapucaí.
